National Safety Day is observed on 4 March and a one-week campaign was organized by Fourfront Limited from 4 March to 11 March known as National Safety Week Campaign. The campaign focuses on the importance of reduction of the rate of industrial and road accidents and focuses on the areas that have not yet been covered by any safety legislation. The campaign urges several organizations to participate in developing several activities as per their legal safety requirements. The campaign is mostly comprehensive, general and flexible. The Beginning – Planning for the celebration.
Safety committee members gathered for the planning of the week, also management guidelines were considered for the celebration Planning. Fourfront decided to focus this year on two aspects and so the theme selected was – “COVID related safety awareness and road safety awareness”. Thus, all the planning, and all events were centered around this theme.
Covid-19 Safety for Visitors/ Customers:
Though the number of visitors are restricted, Fourfront is also be responsible for the visitors / customers safety who visit our plant for some or the other purpose. This starts right at the gate where a contactless entry is made possible through our system. To ensure Covid related safety, a link is provided to the visitor by the Fourfront representative. The visitor can simply open the Covid 19 self-declaration form from his mobile and fill the details.
Awareness & information to all :
An awareness session was conducted on Covid 19 Safety and Road Safety at the shop floor by maintaining minimum 1 mtr distance. Also, communication was done over the email to all the employees regarding the safety week celebration. Various stickers related to safety were displayed on the commonly visited areas like the staircase, floor area etc. Further, safety posters were also hung at various locations to create awareness on safety.
National Safety Day Stats with the Safety Poster put up at the main gate of the company by the employees, Safety Committee, and our Plant Head. Safety badges were distributed to everyone. All the arrangements considering social distancing were done at the assembly area for taking the Safety Pledge. All members took a pledge of being safe first for themselves and then taking care of the colleagues within and outside the organization. After this, the importance of safety, this year’s theme and celebration activities were shared with all.
A lot of enthusiasm and excitement was seen among the employees which reflected in the slogan and posters submission. Safety Committee also added new ideas to motivate them to participate in all the events. Safety tree with the title “make me greener by adding safety slogan leaves” was created. The employees got attracted to this and submitted beautiful slogans (leaves) for this tree. Many participated with submitting posters which were very creative and colourful. All this was to focus on the theme and objective of learning and adopting safety measures as a way of life.
All the safety posters are displayed to create a long lasting visual impact on the importance of safety.
Awareness through Safety Quiz Competition : For improving safety awareness among the employees, a safety quiz competition was organized for all the staff and the shop floor employees.
A mock drill and a small skit on safety was also conducted very enthusiastically.
Presentation on best Kaizen/ best safety practice implementation alongwith the prize distribution ceremony is planned in the monthly communication meet to be held at the end of the month.
